About Me
At Relate Family Therapy, I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to discover their strengths and make meaningful changes in their lives. I firmly believe that everyone has the inner potential to grow, thrive, and achieve their goals with the right tools and support.
Beyond therapy, I’m an outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking, climbing, and skiing in Colorado’s Rockies. I enjoy playing piano and other instruments, writing music, cooking with friends and family, and diving into literature—especially Tolkien and historical nonfiction. I’m also a fan of live music, public lectures, and community chess clubs.
Fun facts: I summited my first 14er, Humboldt Peak, in 2024, and I can play five instruments by ear!
My Background
Originally from Ridgecrest, California, I spent most of my childhood in Memphis, Tennessee, but frequent trips to Colorado inspired my dream of living in this beautiful state. I had my sights set on Colorado for many years before making it happen, but my recent move to Colorado made this dream come true!
My Approach
My passion for helping others and understanding human behavior led me to pursue a career in clinical counseling. I approach therapy with a blend of techniques that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Existential Therapy.
I also incorporate trauma-informed principles, Internal Family Systems concepts, and feminist approaches when working with women and girls. My focus is on helping kids, teens, and young adults facing challenges like anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, identity work and family or interpersonal conflicts.
