About Me
Hi, I’m Paula. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University, with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy. My undergraduate degree is from Moody Bible Institute, where I studied Evangelism and Discipleship. Originally from Illinois, I have called Colorado home since 2010.

Connection is at the heart of what I do—both in my personal life and in my work as a therapist. I love spending time with family and friends, traveling, and exploring the world around me. Whether it’s playing sports, hiking, swimming, or attending concerts, I believe in embracing life fully. I also have a wonderful doberdor named Breckie, who joins me on many adventures.

My Background

My professional background includes a decade of working hospital security in the Denver metro area, where I collaborated closely with mental health professionals. During this time, I witnessed firsthand how many individuals in crisis struggled to find the support they needed. This deepened my commitment to providing meaningful and effective therapy to those seeking healing and growth.

My Approach

I work with individuals, couples, and families, particularly middle-aged adults who are looking for tools to build resilience in their lives. I focus on anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, trauma, and grief. If desired, I am passionate about providing faith-based counseling. As a person-centered therapist, I integrate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1-3). I also have training in experiential therapy, neurofeedback, and restoration therapy.

I believe therapy is about more than just managing symptoms—it’s about deep healing and getting to the root of struggles. Life can be challenging, but we all have the responsibility and the ability to live it well. I work to understand each client holistically, gathering as much information as they are willing to share, so we can create a plan for lasting growth and change.

If you are looking for support in navigating life’s challenges, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
