I am a Colorado native and have lived in Aurora, Colorado my entire life. I am the youngest of four boys, so my childhood was a bit chaotic but memorable. I spend most of my time with my fiance and in my free time I enjoy watching a lot of movies, playing video games, going to concerts and hiking.
I have experience working with children and teens. Adjusting through life changes, trauma, bullying and school issues and family dynamics. I approach each session with a humanistic perspective and I try to incorporate person-centered and narrative based therapy approaches/strategies.
I think therapy is beneficial whether you have a “problem” to fix or not. Everyone can benefit from experiencing counseling throughout their life. I hope that when a client comes to a session with me they can feel there is no judgment and that they can be open and honest and we can work towards a trusting connection. I believe building this kind of therapeutic relationship and environment to completely open up is essential to having a positive counseling experience. When interacting with clients I maintain the mindset that everyone deserves the opportunity to have the best mental health care possible.
