About Me
Originally from Indiana, I moved to Colorado in 2006. Since then, this beautiful state has become home for me and my family. I’m a proud mom of three grown sons, all raised as a single mom, and our family is diverse, vibrant, and full of love and laughter. My downtime is usually spent outside—whether it’s planting flowers, relaxing on my back patio, or paddle boarding with my fluffy sidekick, Oakley, my Old English Sheepdog. When I get rare quiet moments alone, it’s just me and Oakley enjoying some peace.
One of my favorite places in the world is the remote island of Spanish Wells in the Bahamas—nothing beats the quiet beauty and sense of escape it offers.
My Background
My transition into mental health counseling was deeply inspired by decades spent in nursing, supporting people through their most vulnerable moments. That experience sparked a desire to do even more to support emotional and mental well-being.
I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals across all life stages—from children to adults—and I believe every person brings a remarkable story and inner strength. My goal is to help clients tap into that resilience, especially when life feels overwhelming.
My Approach
I strive to create a welcoming, supportive space where clients feel safe to be themselves. I believe therapy should be tailored to the unique needs of each person. Whether we’re talking, drawing, coloring, playing, or practicing relaxation strategies, each session is about what you need in that moment.
My therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also have specialized training in Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy.
I deeply believe that everyone has what it takes inside themselves to grow, heal, and thrive. Sometimes, we just need a little help finding our way—and I’m honored to be that support.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed or simply looking for a space to feel seen and heard, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
