About Me
I am originally from Rancho Mirage, California, and have lived in Colorado for the past five years with my partner of 12 years and our beloved dog. My upbringing in Southern California continues to influence my belief in resilience, connection, and the importance of feeling seen and supported in the healing process.
Fun facts: One fun fact about me is that I love collecting small, meaningful items—like Pokémon cards, pins, and other nostalgic treasures that often hold a story or memory. I also really enjoy immersive fantasy worlds and live downtempo music with a psychedelic feel, whether at shows or as a way to unwind and recharge. Second fun fact about me is that I am a registered yoga teacher with a 200-hour certification.
My Background
I was drawn to this work through a deep interest in relationships and how healing happens through connection. Early in my career, I found myself especially passionate about supporting children and families and helping parents feel more supported and less alone in the process.
I specialize in working with children, teens, and families through a systemic and relational lens. I support clients navigating emotional expression, anxiety, behavioral challenges, and relationship or attachment-related concerns.
I am especially passionate about helping parents feel supported and confident in their connection with their child, while also creating a safe space for children to express themselves through play and relationship-based work.
I found my way to Relate Family Therapy because I was drawn to its strong systemic foundation and relational approach. Being in a space where clinicians consistently work through a systemic lens feels aligned with how I see people and healing—within the context of relationships, environment, and lived experience.
My Approach
I use a systemic, relational approach grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman-informed work to support connection and communication. With children, I incorporate play-based and attachment-focused approaches to help them express emotions in a safe, developmentally appropriate way. I also have training in Play Therapy 101 and EMDR-informed play therapy, and I am working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist.
Therapy, to me, is a space for feeling seen, supported, and less alone. It’s an honor to walk alongside clients as they navigate healing and growth.
I hope clients leave feeling more grounded and more connected to themselves and their relationships. I’m especially passionate about supporting children, teens, and families in emotional expression and connection, while helping parents feel supported and empowered rather than overwhelmed or blamed.
A therapy session is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s needs. With children, play-based activities are often used to support emotional expression and connection. With parents, EFT and Gottman-informed approaches help strengthen communication, deepen emotional understanding, and support secure relationships. Simple grounding or mindfulness tools may also be incorporated when helpful.
