About Me
I’m an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, trail running, mountain biking, and exploring Colorado’s incredible landscapes, especially the San Juan Mountains and JeffCo parks. I’m also a devoted parent and spend much of my free time coaching and cheering on my kids in their various activities, from soccer to gymnastics. Additionally, I enjoy reading, live music (especially at Red Rocks), and staying active in the local community.
Fun facts: I’ve developed an unexpected passion for Premier League soccer thanks to my son’s obsession. I’m also a lifelong Nuggets fan and was incredibly excited about their 2023 championship!
My Background
Born and raised in Colorado Springs, I moved to Minnesota for my senior year of high school before attending college at CU Boulder. After graduating, I lived and worked in Chicago, where I met my wife, started a family, and built my career. In 2022, I returned to Colorado, drawn by the mountains, family, and the outdoor lifestyle I had come to fully appreciate as an adult.
My Approach
At Relate Family Therapy, I aim to help clients across all ages navigate challenges and lead more fulfilling lives. My counseling approach integrates existential and person-centered foundations while incorporating cognitive and behavioral therapy techniques. I have a strong interest in working with men and clients who have experienced trauma.
As an intern, I was drawn to the collaborative and diverse environment at Relate, which provides the ideal setting for me to grow as a counselor while making a meaningful impact. I believe that empowering clients to discover their strengths and build tools for lasting growth is at the heart of effective therapy.
