Social Support

It's hard to be a teen. Teens experience high levels of stress, which can come from social, familial, or academic pressures, bullying, and diagnoses like social anxiety and autism. If your teen's emotions seem volatile, they lack social skills, or have levels of stress in social situations, they aren't alone. They don't have to be isolated or feel overwhelmed and anxious.

Social Support
The therapists at Relate Family Therapy and Counseling work with teens, their families, and IEPs to support the teens, build their social skills, and teach them to cope with their emotions and stressors. By being a trusted party on their side, the therapist helps your teen feel safe. They use tools like music and indirect storytelling via arts, crafts, sand trays, and other methods of expression to help your teen find comfort in their own self and feel comfortable and confident interacting with the world.
