About Me
Born in Texas and raised in an American Hispanic household, I spent my early years in Florida before moving to Colorado in 2014. I have a BA in Human Development and Family Studies with a Minor in Psychology (MSU) and an MA – Clinical Mental Health with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy (CCU).
My Background
I grew up in Florida and still enjoy visiting my family there, but we moved to Colorado to enjoy its distinct four seasons, and we love it here. I can never see myself moving out of Colorado. We have made this place our home and have raised our kids here.
Family time is my priority. My husband is my best friend, and we love hanging out with our children, watching movies together on the couch. I believe there is never too much time spent with family.
I’m also passionate about crafts like crocheting, painting, and drawing.
My Approach
I aim to help my clients achieve independence in their emotional health by understanding their emotional wellness and building healthy, positive relationships. I focus on supporting couples, especially those facing challenges like communication issues and infidelity.
Throughout my life, I have witnessed and experienced various traumas, which have fostered my deep empathy and desire to support others. My understanding of trauma and attachment theories drives me to help clients build secure attachments and resilience in their relationships.
In my sessions, I use attachment theory, EFT, Gottman, CBT, and person-centered modalities. I strive to create a comforting and understanding environment where clients can heal safely. My values inspire me to show care and love, and I am passionate about helping people achieve understanding and self-improvement.
I strive to personalize all of my sessions to meet the unique needs of each client, as I believe that no single modality or technique suits everyone perfectly. I balance empathy and listening with a gentle push to help my clients meet the goals they have set.
