Hello, I’m Paige

Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate

I strive to provide a non-judgmental safe environment in which individuals and families can come to express themselves.  I am curious about their stories and my hope is that I can empower them in their desire to find understanding or solutions to their struggles.

I am Colorado native who recently returned to the state after 14 years of living as a military family in other countries and states.  While I enjoyed the gift of travel and experiencing new countries and cultures, I am excited to return to my roots and four seasons!  I have two children, a supportive husband, and two silly dogs who love snuggles and sniffing in the Colorado smells.  I enjoy being outdoors, painting, reading, yoga, and cooking something new every week.

Hello, I’m PAIGE

It is a privilege to bear witness to the power of release and transformation in the therapy room with children, adults and families. I consider part of my role to that of holding space for people in their most vulnerable moments as well as aiding them to discover new insights and possible solutions to their struggles. I find it more useful for clients to discover their owns solutions to their problems, which lends itself well to the collaborative nature of my therapeutic process with clients.  With children in the play therapy room, I ensure that there are tools at their disposal so that they may express whatever they cannot communicate verbally.

I enjoy working with tweens and teens. As kids move into the teen years, having an outside source of support in therapy can help them understand their perspective better. With the work, I can help to give the tweens and teens a place to share what they are feeling and want for the future with their parents.

I have the opportunity work with a variety individuals, families, and children in a community mental health settings and military bases in Arizona, California, Colorado, overseas. I have a passion providing play therapy services to young children struggling with anxiety, trauma, behavioral concerns, and transitions in their lives. This passion has allowed me to work with teachers, support staff, and families in therapeutic preschools in both California and Arizona.  Working with children has given me the opportunity to engage with their families in order to help them work through life transitions and struggles such as divorce, blended families, traumatic experiences, and loss of a loved one.

Adults often overlook their own needs until they are in crisis. I hope to have clients that know they can come to me for non-judgmental support and maybe even a laugh or two. Working through previous trauma or dealing with something that is currently going on can be empowering. Helping someone that hasn’t felt that support in the past can provide such a positive impact on the person’s life.
