I was born in Colorado but was raised in the beach cities of Los Angeles, California. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and Family Studies from Cal State Long Beach, and I’m currently working on my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy) at Colorado Christian University.
I grew up in the beach cities of Los Angeles (Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes, and Long Beach), and I love visiting home! Before moving to Colorado, this state was my favorite place to visit. I love being close to the mountains, the beach, and just being outside in general!
My husband and I have three children in their mid-childhood/preteen years, and we have a sweet little fur baby who loves to snuggle.
I enjoy spending my time with my husband and kiddos. Whether its playing Nintendo switch, playing board games, or tubing Clear Creek in the summer, I love to be with my family and friends.
My Approach
I hope to deepen my clients’ connections with loved ones and empower them to be their best selves relationally and personally.
I love working with kids and teens! My degree in child development and family studies, as well as my 15 years’ experience as a preschool teacher and youth/family minister, have supported my skills in working with kids/teens. I’m also passionate about working with couples and newlyweds.
I incorporate modalities that are useful for the couple/individual/family, whether that’s play therapy, art therapy, or CBT. I like to have fun in therapy and incorporate my clients’ interests and some humor. I also enjoy leaning into the right-brain “language” of art and have been trained in Expressive Arts Therapy. We can talk about the hard stuff but make it enjoyable.
I believe clients have an idea of what they need. My role is to support a client as they process their life and discover that!
