– Therapist –

I was lucky enough to have grown up on a ranch in Austin, Texas during an era where country roads and ranches still existed before being replaced by housing developments.  Growing up, I spent a lot of playing outside or working hard to take care of our horses. Caring for other living creatures taught me about empathy from an early age, and I felt that my calling was not to sit behind a desk, but rather to help others. As a result, I began my career by earning an Associates degree in Psychology from San Antonio College. After that, I attended the University of Texas, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Masters in Business Administration. Most recently, I completed a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University.

Sometimes, life gets us in a space where we look at ourselves and think, “how did I get here?”. We can become so complacent and comfortable with discomfort that it becomes our new normal, forming our views and habits without our knowledge that it’s even happening. Sometimes we all just need an accepting and neutral person to process life with to regain control and understanding. I utilize multiple modalities in my approach to therapy, such as TF-CBT, REBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Reality Therapy.

I believe that counseling is not giving a hand to a person sitting in the mud, it is sitting in the mud with them and getting out together. I am passionate about providing a judgment-free environment in which you feel free to be your authentic self, and I am grateful I get to help my clients better understand their identity, values, and goals to help them overcome the various barriers that may be present in their lives.

I am grateful to be able to help my clients grow and heal by getting a better understand their identity, goals, and values. In therapy, we will work together to take steps towards self-discovery and self-acceptance, and I am passionate about providing a judgment-free environment in which you feel free to be your authentic self. You are the expert of your own life. Your experiences and identities are unique to you, and your story deserves to be seen and heard.
