About Me

Hi- I’m Edie Jarldane, and I hold a Master of Science in Professional Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. Throughout my career, I’ve obtained certifications in Gottman Level 1 and Intro to Motivational Interviewing, enhancing my skills in providing effective counseling services.

Outside of my professional life, I have a passion for sports and enjoy being an aspiring outdoors-person. Whether it’s watching games or engaging in activities in the mountains, these pursuits bring me joy and help me find balance in my life. When I’m not engaged in my counseling work, I indulge in my love for collecting Lego sets and am currently immersed in building my own Lego city. This hobby serves as a testament to my creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to find joy and fulfillment in engaging activities.

My focus within counseling lies in providing support to individuals who have faced one or more traumatic events. I have had the opportunity to work with victims of violent crimes, offering individual therapy and crisis intervention services within a police station setting. Additionally, I have provided community-based services to high-risk youth with complex trauma histories, including families involved with the Department of Human Services. I thrive in cases that involve multiple traumatic events or complex situations, utilizing various modalities that cater to my clients’ needs and developmental levels. My approach heavily relies on family systems, attachment-based work, and play therapy as foundations for healing.

I’m honored to be a therapist, dedicated to helping individuals heal from trauma, cultivate healthier relationships, and create a brighter future. With my expertise, empathetic nature, and client-centered approach, I aim to be a valuable resource for those seeking support on their healing journey.
