Maryjane Reilly, MA, LPC

Hello, I’m MARYJANE

Licensed Professional Counselor

Life can be difficult and at times, so we can need an extra source of support. Often, we are intimidated and overwhelmed by emotions, perceptions, and life circumstances during difficult times. Supporting others throughout this transformative process of growth is a passion of mine. In therapy, we can explore thoughts and feelings, process trauma, learn coping skills, and more in order to embrace a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

I am a Chicago native and a lover of all things art and creativity. I grew up with a large Italian/Irish family (that all lived on the same street!) and have a passion for family, quality time and, of course, good pasta. I moved out to Denver to pursue my Master’s and fell in love with the city. So, I have stayed since then! I have a sweet dog that fills a significant amount of my time, but I also love to paint, spend a day in the mountains, or go to a concert or show in my free time.

Hello, I’m Maryjane

Registered Psychotherapist, Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate

I am passionate about the change that can happen through the therapeutic process and feel deep joy over getting to walk alongside someone in their process of healing. I believe in empowering those I work with to rewrite their own narrative through creating a safe space for non-judgmental, honest and hopeful conversation that ultimately reflects back to them their inherent value and worth.

I offer a non-judgmental, empathetic, and collaborative approach in working with children, adolescents and adults in their journey towards mental and emotional health. I believe in working closely with families to implement strategies to help the whole system function more smoothly and to help alleviate the disconnection within families that often arises during a trying or traumatic time. I love to help children find their voices and become more of themselves through this process, and utilize play, expressive arts, and talk therapy to do this.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and hold a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. I also received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in both General Art and Psychology from Judson University.

To best serve my clients, I use an integrative, evidence-based approach with an emphasis on
person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and narrative-based therapies. I believe in the power of expression through play and I am certified in both Experiential play Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I specialize in working with those who have been impacted by trauma, divorce, addiction and substance abuse, grief and loss, social anxiety, adjustment issues, reintegration as well as general anxiety and family issues. I recognize the importance of honoring the unique cultural background and personal values of the individual to facilitate empowerment and growth. I strive to empower people to understand themselves and their situations better while at the same time providing resources for coping skills, developing healthy relationships, self-regulation, and instilling a positive self-image.
